A little bit about us: We are a small family run business offering both bareboat and skippered charters with a fleet of yachts for guests to hire and holiday around the beautiful Fraser Coast. 

About the role of Briefer:

We are looking for a professional team member for our briefing and maintenance team who is able to maintain the boats to a high standard and conduct bareboat briefings with integrity and attention to detail. The brief is a critical factor in maintaining a safe and enjoyable holiday experience for our guests. 

Main duties will include:

• Conduct briefings & sail guide training 
• Undertake vessel checks reporting any issues 
• Complete vessel repairs as needed 
• Vessel preparation paying special attention to safety aspects 
• Minor gelcoat and fibreglass repairs 
• Undertake preventative maintenance, or report as needed 
• Slipping of vessels 
• Undertaking chase/service calls as required 
• Maintain detailed records of works carried out
• Liaise with Operations Manager to follow day to day operational requirements

Preferred Qualifications can include:

• Coxswain / MED / Master 5 / Briefers Ticket / Radio License / Current First Aid / QLD Boat and Jetski Licence 

This is a casual or ABN position, approximately 15 hours per week, across 7 days a week. 

About you:

• Strong boating skills, knowledge and ability to sail essential.
• Previous roles in the marine industry is an advantage.
• Local area knowledge preferred.
• Communicate clearly on the vessel operation, charter area and safety.
• Be able to work weekends.
• Role would suit casual or ABN.

About the role of Interior Cleaner/Detailer:

If you are looking for flexible work hours, maintaining independence whilst being part of a family oriented team who takes pride in their work, this job is for you!

Main duties will include:

• Detailed cleaning of interiors
• Clean out and full clean of fridge and freezers
• Check galley inventory and order missing items 
• Check First Aid kit 
• Check condition of all equipment including inventory, linen and towels – report if found/ use only undamaged and clean linen. 
• Make up all beds  
• Report on any missing or broken items

About you:

• Previous vessel detailing experience or housekeeping preferred but not essential.
• Must be able to work independently, as part of a team and to a time schedule.  
• Attention to detail is very valuable and something which our team shows in their work. 
• Previous roles in the marine industry is an advantage.
• Role would suit as a second job, early morning, late afternoons, or school hours.  
• Be able to work weekends.
• Must have own transport.

This is a casual or ABN position approximately 20+ hours per week, across 7 days, with the potential to become permanent part time with the right person.
